A Pink and Blue Bat Mitzvah Theme
When planning a mitzvah, the theme you choose can make or break the overall aesthetic—especially when it comes to photography. My photographic brain loves colors that just work together. A pink and blue color scheme is one of the best choices for creating visually captivating images. Here’s why:

Pink is hot and blue is cool. Pink brings warmth and softness, while blue adds depth and cool contrast. This combination creates a visually dynamic backdrop that flatters skin tones and makes decorations pop in photos.

These colors naturally complement each other, making both the decor and family photos go well together. Also, both colors are fine sharing the spotlight with darker blue tones or perhaps some red rose pedals.

When a mitzah has such a striking color theme, I like to showcase both colors as much as I can. If Mom and Dad are wearing blue, for example, I will photograph them with a pink lit wall as a backdrop.

Two is sometimes better than one. I’ve photographed parties with a single color as a theme and have to work harder to bring visual interest. Blue alone is overdone and green doesn’t look great against skin tones.

So consider pink and blue for your theme! It photographs so well!
